The end of the hose, equipped with a needle, is attached to the refrigerant cylinder. Then the cap of the freon cylinder is punctured with a valve on the hose or adapter, a small part of the refrigerant is released. The opposite part of the hose is connected to the low-pressure line (do not forget to remove the plug with the letter “L”). If you use a regular hose, connect the weather station.
The next step is to turn on the engine. Start the car, turn on the air conditioner to maximum and activate the air recirculation mode.
In some cases, the engine speed needs to be raised to a certain indicator – this point is described in the instructions. If a stable and optimal pressure is formed in the main line, then everything is in order – there is no need for additional refrigerant.
Achieving the right pressure
In extreme heat, the refrigerant will flow out faster, so you need to hold the cylinder with the tap up.
Monitor the pressure using a pressure gauge or weather station – if an excessive amount of freon is poured, remove it through the valve on the hose.
At the end of the process, you need to close the valve and remove the hose.
All that remains is to check the air conditioning from the car interior. It is best to use a special thermometer placed on the deflectors. Ideally, the temperature inside the machine should be 10-15 degrees lower than outside. If this result could not be achieved, then you need to add a refrigerant or check the air conditioner for breakdowns.
